Selden and Centereach Auto Repair

I moved East from Bethpage and used to drive back there every time I needed a car repair because I couldn't find a competent honest local shop. Finally found these guys. They're fairly priced, they know their stuff, and they won't rip you off or do unneeded repairs. I went in for a brake job and they said come back in 6 months because they didn't need to be done yet. Been going there for 10 years now with 4 different cars, never had a complaint. (And they call you a few days after you visit just to make sure you're satisfied with the service. Nice touch.)

Today was my first time using Middle Country Automotive (MCA) and I thought I'd share my experience for those interested. I brought in a 1996 Honda Accord. After checking it, Keith met with me and explained that he found a very slow leak but it did not need to be fixed immediately. He also reported that my maintenance indicator light just needed to be reset. So, I wound up paying only $37.00 for my inspection. He could have lied and said any number of things needed to be repaired and I wouldn't have known the difference, but he didn't. He was honest, knowledgeable and pleasant. I liked the receptionist, Kelly, as well. She was very friendly and tried her best to make me feel comfortable as I waited in the lobby. I'm so happy I found a mechanic in the area that I can trust. So, if you're in search of a good mechanic, I recommend MCA. I hope this review was helpful. :-)
